It got “colorful” this week at LBMC! Color War officially broke out.
Color War Break
Camp was taken over by a GAME WORLD that was manipulated by Guardians. Bunk 1 has been competing in a series of games- PacMan, Tetris, and Space Invaders, to name a few. They had to win all of the games in order to get camp out of this Game World. On Wednesday night, they won the final game and Color War official began!
Color War Themes
Once Color War officially broke, it was time to reveal the biggest secret of the summer: the Color War themes.
Green is Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball and Gold is Empire State of Mind (NYC)!
In March, Bunk 1 came to camp to pick these themes. Since then they have been working and planning an amazing color war: writing songs, making costumes, backdrops and so much more. It is so much fun to see it come to life at camp this week!
Color War
Camp is divided into two teams and the competition between the green and gold is on! Everything from art contests, to cabin clean up, capture the flag, soccer and many other activities. Our campers are giving everything they have to their teams. In addition to games, they are learning songs that will be presented at Sing next week. Everyone is working hard to get every point that they can!
Some of our favorite all camp color war events this week included the Spirit Basketball Game and All Camp Lineup!
The GOLD team is currently in the lead. It is still anyone’s game with so many big events coming up! We will give you the final score in the Final Summer Buzz.
Daily Life
We have been busy with Color War, but we can’t forget about the Aquarama, The Senior Camp Play and the Dance Recital earlier this week. We also had Chocolate Banana Night – a sacred LBMC tradition! Bunk 1 enjoyed dipping the bananas – check it out here!
